About Us

          CONTACT US

The West TN Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit, state chartered organization; all donations are tax-deductible.

WTAR is comprised of folks aiding in the health, wellbeing, and placement of abused, neglected and/or homeless animals. Our members are passionate about animals and about helping the people of our community.

We are an all foster home organization, meaning our pets don't live in a shelter building. Our pets are cared for in our member's homes and live, learn and love as family members until they are adopted into their forever home. An added benefit to an all fostercare organization is there is minimal overhead. Donations go to caring for the animals and for outreach to our West Tennessee community to help end the pet overpopulation problem in Tennessee.

All animals that come through this group are fully vetted to include: spay/neuter & vaccinations; dogs 6 months or older are tested for heartworm and cats are tested for feline AIDS/Leukemia. In the event the animal tests positive, the decision will be made for treatment.

All potential adopters complete an application, reference check and sign our contract.

With the help of fundraisers and donations we are able to operate the Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program for the public.

We want to make a difference in rural West Tennessee!
